Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are one of Hollywoodâs A-list couples whoâve been releasing blockbusters left and right. The two first worked together on the set of âMr. and Mrs. Smithâ, and from then on became inseparable. Recently, Brad spoke up in Angelinaâs defense when the New York Times asserted that she was quite an expert at handling the press. Brad said in an interview that, âIt sounded to me like the story made Angie out to be manipulative in some way. She is savvy⦠I get defensive. [Theyâre] talking about not only the woman I love, but one of the people on this planet who I have the greatest respect for. I think sheâs as honorable as anyone Iâve ever met.â
Lately, the power couple has been seen out and about to promote Bradâs latest movie âThe Curious Case of Benjamin Buttonâ. âThe Curious Case of Benjamin Buttonâ, tells the story of a man named Benjamin Button ââ¦who starts aging backwards with bizarre consequencesâ¦â will be shown in theaters on Christmas Day. Co-star Jason Flemyng revealed his admiration for the way Brad has dealt with stardom, saying, âIâm sure he gets frustrated by it. Itâs mental but he copes with a great sense of humor.â Jason added, âI donât know this side of Brad. Iâve made two movies with him and spent a lot of time with him. When we made Snatch we could go to a pub and have a drink. I donât know this at all – itâs amazing.â Julia Ormond, another co-star, also sang Pittâs praises. âHeâs just very much somebody who doesnât really care about his looks and as an actor is way more talented than perhaps people would perceive. Iâm just really glad for him that he got to do a role that shows his range.â
For those who want to see more of Brad, they can watch his interview on the âEllen DeGeneres Showâ, where they talk about Proposition 8 and George Clooney, among other things. Brad, who was outspoken in his support of Proposition 8, said that, ââ¦To me, [it, is an issue of equality, and I go back to the Declaration of Independence – that we are all created equal. Weâre all free for life, liberty and pursuit of happiness and that proposition was stepping on peopleâs pursuit of happiness, peopleâs liberty, and I donât think it has any place in our definition of America. So I hope we figure that one out.â
